Super little. Real for our road trip. We walked to the bridge, and back to the parking lot. Had a picnic supper and we're back on our way. The walk was refreshing and the view from the bridge is lovely.

Scenic abandoned bridge along the Trans Canada Highway. Park in the lot and take a 10 minute walk down the old Cariboo Highway to the bridge. Check for trains when you cross the tracks, it's an active rail line.

Wonderful place, historic bridge, and good views of the Fraser canyon and Fraser River from the bridge. Although I must stress the importance of keeping all personal belongings safe while on the bridge, as the floor of the bridge surface is very porous and the holes are quite large, so many small items will fall through. When I went there, I got to see a train pass by on the tracks. However, my father dropped his flashlight while getting something on the bridge, and we were all so worried that he dropped something important, like his wallet or his house keys. My advice is, keep all personal belongings secure and safe while on this bridge!

The short so to visit the Old Alexandra Bridge is worth it. The ropes you'll see are for native fishing nets. You may see Conservation officers there watching for those fishing. They were great guys to talk to.
